Kristin
No one has more fun than Kristin. Last year she was in the shadow of the seniors, but now it's her turn to rule the school. All she wants to do is party and leave behind the drama from last year. Her long-term boyfriend Stephen has left for college and she's being courted by a new crop of hot, Laguna boys. Parties, bonfires, ski trips, and another hot spring break getaway -- this is Kristin's year. When Stephen comes home from college, how will she feel? And with so many other boys interested, especially the always charming Talan, it's all up to Kristin. Who will she choose?
Jessica
Last year, Jessica was with nice guy, Dieter. This year, she's with Laguna's bad boy, Jason. And what a difference a year makes. One of Kristin's best friends, Jessica loves hanging with the girls. When it comes to her chaotic relationships with boys, she can't seem to get it right. It's her last year at Laguna High and it is filled with drama. Will Jessica stand up for herself or will she continue to date the wrong guys? She's also hot on the latest gossip in town -- and isn't afraid to kiss and tell.
Stephen
Stephen's a freshman in college, but his heart still belongs in Laguna. Last fall, he left behind the beach, the sun, and his long-term girlfriend Kristin to attend school in San Francisco. Good thing he had his friend LC with him up there. It looked like their on-again-off-again romance might finally have room to bloom. But will things change with LC when she decides to leave school and return to Laguna? And will Kristin be waiting for Stephen when he goes back to Laguna? This love triangle continues...
LC
She's the girl with everything. A beautiful mansion, the finest designer clothes, a pool overlooking the ocean -- she's got the life. But when she leaves the bubble of Laguna for college, things start to fall apart. LC and San Francisco don't mix, so she's thinking of heading back home and returning to the comfort and beauty of Laguna Beach. But that would mean leaving Stephen behind--or would it?
Taylor
Taylor is the classic Laguna girl: blonde, beautiful, loves to shop, and considers the beach her second home. Everyone likes Taylor, especially Talan. That is, everyone except Kristin, who used to be one of her good friends. It seems that there can be only one Queen Bee in Laguna. But this nice girl isn't going down without a fight.
Alex M.
Along with her best friend, Taylor, Alex M is part of one of Laguna's most popular cliques. But she and Taylor don't get along with Kristin's clique. Alex M has an eye for fashion and an ear for music. Laguna's reigning drama queen (she's President of the Drama Club at school), she's always the center of attention. And the Laguna boys -- one in particular who has a girlfriend -- can't resist her.
Jason
If Stephen was the senior boy in the center of the most drama last season, Jason is sure to be it in Season 2. Jason is Laguna's hunky bad-boy who surfs, plays baseball, and breaks girl's hearts. Wild and unpredictable, Jason always has a prank up his sleeve. He has certainly caught the eye of Jessica and Alex M. But is there a girl in Laguna who can tame him?
Talan
A surf champ, star quarterback and volleyball pro, Talan is hot. All the senior girls have their eyes on him. Of course, he's hooked up with most of them already -- the Laguna girls have a hard time resisting his charm. Through his ups and downs, Talan remains a mystery to the girls of Laguna, but he's still the object of their desires. Even Kristin finds him tempting.
